More About Cameron
Cameron is an economist, researcher, and business builder. He has built his career with an unconventional mission in mind: Build Private Sector Solutions to Public Problems.
Cameron has done this through three different, but connected, areas of influence: Business, Policy, and Academics.
Business: Cameron has spent over 10,000 hours building innovative private sector solutions to public problems having worked as a senior regional executive at Lyft and at Uber focused on strategy, operations, and analytics.
Policy: For over a decade, Cameron has authored numerous policy studies focused on barriers to entrepreneurship, with his most recent publication being: State Permissions vs Market Possibilities
Academics: Cameron has produced high-quality academic research that has been published nationally which focused on quantifying the per household cost of expanded public sector regulations and budgets. (Research and publications can be found below.)
Guiding Research Principles:
Ideas need to be put into practice in order for them to be effective. To do this requires a commitment to working across multiple silos to align policymakers, academics, business leaders, and the public to see the benefit of transforming outdated approaches to create innovative and effective solutions.
The most interesting questions of our world are found in the intersection of politics, philosophy, and economics while the most successful solutions to these questions are found in the intersection of economics, technology, and psychology.
Cameron has expertise in businesses strategy, research, applied economics, operations, strategic finance, and business analytics. As a seasoned speaker, Cameron shares his research and insights with audiences ranging from international lawmakers to local students.
